The feature-filled Handicare 1000 straight stairlift features a slim, aluminum track with a hidden gear rack for a streamlined look. Choose from a wide variety of seat options and colors. The Smart seat is a versatile design that gives you an array of options and upgrades. The Smart seat features adjustable height, width and depth, and is easily upgraded to a powered swivel or for use with a body harness instead of a standard seat belt.

The innovative Perch seat is an absolute game-changer for those who find transitioning from sitting to standing and back again difficult or painful. Less deep and higher than a traditional seated system, it allows you to use the stairlift while almost standing, using the half seat for support.

Both seat options are available in three leather grain, anti-slip upholstery options, including Cocoa, Sand and Slate. They’re easy to clean, durable and water-resistant.

Keep the doorway at the top of your stairs clear. The Zero Intrusion system eliminates the rail overrun, so you won’t have to make any modifications to your home to enjoy your 1000 straight chair lift.

Safety as Standard

All stairlifts have a range of safety sensors on the power pack and footplate: these are designed to stop the lift if it meets any obstruction. Once stopped it can only be moved in the opposite direction away from the obstruction. All stairlifts have a diagnostic display so that you can monitor the status of your stairlift, for example, if a safety edge has been activated. Your stairlift has a retractable seat belt for added security and peace of mind.

Easy to Use

The operating toggle is easy to use, simply hold it towards the direction you wish to travel, up or down, and your stairlift will move smoothly and gently on its way. The control is conveniently located at the end of the arm leaving both arms clear to provide unhindered support when getting on or off the seat.
